Virginia (Ginny) Wegener and RT Loki

Team #70

Ginny Wegener rode for her second Century Club award on her Norwegian Fjord, RT Loki, on May 1, 2010.  She completed her first Century Club ride in 2002 on her Arabian, Sam. 

When her three daughters were young, Ginny took them to numerous horse shows across California.  However, she didn't start riding until she was 58 years old.  It has been her passion ever since!  Ginny is a member of the Arkansas Valley Dressage Club in Canon City, Colorado. 

In addition to horses, Ginny's other passion is flying.  She is a pilot and worked for the FAA as a pilot examiner for a number of years.  She has about 30,000 hours flying and has given many Airline Pilots their licenses.  She has flown in the Powder Puff Derby ten times and came in second place the year she flew with her daughter.  She always placed in the top ten!
