MORE FUNDING AVAILABLE FROM THE RENEE ISLER DRESSAGE SUPPORT FUND AT THE DRESSAGE FOUNDATION

(October 19, 2010) If you could use a financial boost to attend a clinic, participate in a once-in-a-lifetime event, or pursue upper level training, and you have a great work ethic, are well-respected, and have a track record of volunteerism, the Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund can help!

“I am lucky to have been a beneficiary of Renee's generosity because she happened to converse with me while promoting her passion: helping the Young Riders reach their international aspirations. She is continuously helping our next generation, both individually and through bigger programs,” said Courtney Dye.

The Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund was originally established by Renee to help applicants to the "USDF FEI Junior/Young Rider Clinic Series," who are in need of financial assistance in order to attend, if qualified and accepted by USDF. Renee's Fund has authorized up to nine annual grants of up to $800 each, one for each Clinic in each of the nine USDF Regions.

While the Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund continues to meet this need, it has also grown in scope and funding available.  Funding is available for a variety of uses for Young Riders and professionals.  Recent grants have been made to Hilary Moore, Mary Lauritsen, and Shannon Dueck to advance their careers in Dressage.

"Achieving our goals in this demanding sport of Dressage requires an immense commitment from many sources.  I know I could not compete internationally with my mare Ayscha without significant financial support, and I am so grateful to the Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund for helping me reach my goals.  With their help, I was able to stay in Germany and train and compete for an extra month this past summer - and this month of top quality coaching was really important.  I was able to bring this training back to the USA, where I hope I can help others achieve their goals," said Shannon Dueck upon her return to the States.

“We are proud to work with Renee and to provide a ‘home’ for her fund,” said Melissa Filipi, Development Director for The Dressage Foundation.  “It’s very exciting to have funds available for such a wide variety of projects, and this is only possible because of Renee’s dedication to the sport and willingness to help fellow riders.”

Application guidelines are available at www.dressagefoundation.org.  Upon receipt, the Selection Committee will review each application and make a funding determination.  Applications are due at least 30 days in advance of the event, clinic, etc.
