Jordan Meadows

Jordan Meadows had her first dressage lesson at the age of 12 at StarWest Stables and has been hooked ever since. It was then that her parents bought her first horse Nassim, a small Arabian gelding whom she was able to train to Second Level. In the fall of 2003 Jordan purchased Lerro, a 2001 black Dutch Warmblood gelding. With Lerro, Jordan was a member of the 2005 bronze medal team at the Junior Dressage Team Championships at Dressage at Devon and won many other awards, including earning her USDF bronze medal.
Jordan later sold Lerro and began leasing a wonderfully trained Holsteiner gelding named Lucero from a friend. Lucero arrived on January 1, 2006 and the pair quickly began training for the North American Young Rider Program. With the help of her invaluable schoolmaster, Jordan was able to receive her USDF silver medal in 2006 and a spot on the Region 2 Young Rider Team as first alternate in both 2006 and 2007.
Jordan is a full-time student at Illinois College where she is majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She currently is a full-time working student at StarWest Stables in New Berlin, Illinois where she trains with Kathryn Fleming-Kuhn and Martin Kuhn. Here she continues to educate herself on a daily basis by taking lessons and watching her instructors ride, and by riding in clinics with noted riders such as Gerhard Politz, Colonel Christian Carde, and Susanne von Dietze. |
