Dressage Riders to Attend Three-Day Adult Camp Hosted by Local Association
The Charles River Dressage Association will host a three-day adult camp for dressage riders April 25-27 at Apple Knoll Farm, located in Millis, Mass.
Attendees will spend the weekend attending lunch-time lectures and both private and semi-private riding lessons daily. Dee Loveless and Lynn Kimball Davis will serve as the instructors for the clinic and symposium. Loveless has more than 25 years of experience in the sport of dressage and really enjoys training horses. Davis is a United States Dressage Federation gold, silver and bronze medalist, has trained extensively in England and Australia, and has competed on the FEI level.
“This program will allow dressage riders three entire days to focus on their goals,” said, Chris Dunham, president of the Charles River Dressage Association. “We chose Dee and Lynn as our clinicians because we believe their expertise and teaching style will greatly benefit our attendees.”
This training will help enhance the riders’ relationships with their horses by improving their overall skills in the sport of dressage. Thanks to a $1,800 grant provided by The Dressage Foundation through the Violet M. Hopkins Fund, association members will be able to attend the program at a reduced cost.
“The Dressage Foundation is proud to provide financial support to the association. We are committed to helping advance the sport of dressage and this program is an excellent learning opportunity for riders of all levels,” said John Boomer, President and CEO of The Dressage Foundation.
The Violet M. Hopkins Fund was established at The Dressage Foundation in 1996 to help support educational programs of USDF Group Member Organizations for riders at all levels. The grant requires recipients to incorporate lectures on the basics and theory of dressage into their programs.
