THE DRESSAGE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES THE RECIPIENTS OF THE CAROL LAVELL GIFTED SCHOLARSHIPS

The Gifted Fund was originally seeded with Donations from Carol Lavell, which she received in special remembrance of her great Dressage horse, “Gifted.”  Friends of The Dressage Foundation and Carol Lavell have added donations, and the Scholarship Fund has grown steadily over the years.  These scholarships enable Adult Amateurs to set aside quality time in concentrated training with a horse they own, with a trainer of choice, away from the daily pressures of job and family. 

The following adult amateurs have been chosen as recipients from their respective USDF Regions to receive grants of $900 for training in the 2010 calendar year.

USDF Region 1 – Deborah Howard (VA) and her horse Cool Dollar Bill plan to train with Debbie Rodriguez.  Deborah is a member of Virginia Dressage Association-Central Chapter.  

USDF Region 2 – Barbara Bern (KY) and her horse Gisele plan to train with Cindy Sydnor.  Barbara is a member of Kentucky Dressage Association. 

USDF Region 3 – Katharina Nowotny-Boles (TN) and her horses Olympia and Klaus plan to train with Ed Rothkranz.  Katharina is a member of Central Tennessee Dressage Association.

USDF Region 4 – Megan Ward (IA) and her horse Autopilot plan to train with Kate Fleming-Kuhn and Martin Kuhn. Megan is a member of Eastern Iowa Dressage & Eventing Association.

USDF Region 5 – Randi Phillips (NM) and her horse Olivia plan to train with Ulla Hudson.  Randi is a member of New Mexico Dressage Association. 

USDF Region 6 – Paula Pugh (WA) and her horse Andy plan to train with Jeremy Steinberg.  Paula is a member of Whidbey Dressage Society. 

USF Region 7 – Anna Beal (CA) and her horse Viktor plan to train with Willy Arts.  Anna is a member of California Dressage Society.

USDF Region 8 – Margo Scofield (NY) and her horse Rappenhof Beatrix plan to train with Paula Kierkegaard.  Margo is a member of Central New York Dressage & Combined Training Association. 

USDF Region 9 – Cyndi Craig (TX) and her horse Flying Colorz plan to train with Marta Renilla.  Cyndi is a member of Houston Dressage Society.
