(June 19, 2008) Lincoln, Neb. – The Mississippi Eventing and Dressage Association will host a four-day adult camp for dressage riders June 18-21 at Cedar Wind Farm in Oxford, Mississippi.
Amateur adult riders will spend four days attending lectures and training sessions with instructors Pam Bancker, a USDF certified instructor; Paula Stewart, a former USDF bronze medalist and professional Pilates trainer; Bess Reineman, a USDF silver medalist; and professional dressage instructor and USDF silver medalist, Evelyn Tumlin. All four instructors have impressive dressage experience and will be able to provide valuable information to attendees about dressage theory, training and nutrition.
“These riders will go home with a better understanding of how to proceed toward their individual goals in a safe and comfortable manner,” said Tumlin. “Safety education is a primary goal of our staff.”
This training will help enhance the riders’ relationships with their horses by improving their overall skills in the sport of dressage. Thanks to a $1,400 grant provided by The Dressage Foundation through the Violet M. Hopkins Fund, association members will be able to attend the program at a reduced cost.
