Emma is a 20-year-old from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She started riding at age 5 at an eventing barn but quickly realized that dressage was her passion. Emma became a working student for Sarah Travis at age 16, which made her realize that she wanted to pursue dressage as her career. She participated in Lendon Gray’s 2016 Winter Intensive Training program, during which she was given a generous scholarship from Dressage4Kids to complete the USDF Instructor/Trainer Program through First Level. After returning to Minnesota, she started working as Sarah’s assistant trainer and started to develop her own business teaching lessons and training horses. In the fall of 2016, Dressage4Kids generously donated a 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding, Stedemann, to her. Emma has been given the opportunity to train with Sarah Travis, Betsy Steiner and Olivia LaGoy-Weltz on a regular basis, as well as with Lendon Gray through the Dressage4Kids TEAM program. She enjoys bringing along her young horse, Rhoyal Encour, and working with Stedemann, as well as working with her students. She has just finished her sophomore year of college through Penn State University’s online program, where she is pursuing a degree in business management and marketing.
