Volunteer Award Created in Memory of Judith Noone

The Board of Directors of The Dressage Foundation (TDF) have announced that a new volunteer award has been created in memory of former Board member extraordinaire, Judith Noone.

The award will be presented to TDF volunteers who exemplify Judith’s enthusiasm and dedication to the advancement of dressage.  A plaque will be permanently displayed in TDF’s office and engraved with recipients’ names.  TDF plans to announce the first recipient by the end of 2019.

Judith served on TDF’s Board of Directors since its inception, and in recent years, she served as treasurer. She was singularly responsible for developing our program of State Representatives as well as the TDF Sustaining Partner (monthly giving) Program. Judith gave selflessly and tirelessly to the organization.

Jenny Johnson, TDF’s Executive Director, shared, “Judith was known across the country as someone who worked diligently for our sport.  In addition to all she did for TDF, Judith initiated some of the first Junior/Young Rider programs in the U.S., was an extraordinary show manager, organized the first CDIs in New England, created the first Regional Championships across the U.S., ran some of the first programs for dressage judges in our country, was a champion for the adult amateur rider, and so much more. We all miss Judith terribly and it is our honor to create this award in her memory.”
