"In 1988, a neighbor gave me a beautiful Thoroughbred brood mare named Baliup. Two years later, my dressage days began. Bally Miss, as she was renamed, was a 'diamond in the rough.'  Her forte' was dressage.  Bally won the Thoroughbred Breed Award at First Level in 1990 and again won the award in 1992 at Second Level. We competed in the North West Championships in Region 6 and won the Adult Amateur Award at Second Level in 1994. In 1996, we again won the North West Championship Adult Amateur Award at Third Level. I received my bronze medal in 1994."
