TDF Awards Grant from the Elysium Farm Fund for U.S. Breeder Excellence

The Dressage Foundation is pleased to announce that Jessica Stallings and Jennifer DesRoche of Signature Sporthorses (NC), has received a Grant from TDF’s Elysium Farm Fund for U.S. Breeder Excellence.

The Elysium Farm Fund for U.S. Breeder Excellence, established at The Dressage Foundation in 2011 by Abbey Henderson, owner of Elysium Farm (MA), provides financial assistance to breeders to pursue educational opportunities related to breeding that will advance their careers, promote sound breeding practices and further enhance the quality of U.S.-bred dressage horses.

Signature Sporthorses was awarded $1,000 to attend the Hanoverian Breed Orientation Course in Verden, Germany in October. The experience includes a week-long trip visiting multiple farms, a performance testing station for stallions, a course on judging of horses, then concluding with a Hanoverian stallion licensing on the final three days of the course. “I am very grateful for the great opportunity TDF’s Elysium Farm Fund for US Breeder Excellence is affording me as a grant recipient. As a US breeder, the ability to go to Germany and learn directly from top breeders in the world and from the Hanoverian Verband during their Breed Orientation Course is invaluable,” Jessica said. Signature Sporthorses will be sharing a video blog with us while they are in Germany, too. “I am also extremely excited to relay what I am learning to other US breeders in a TDF video blog this October!”

Applications will again be received in 2018, with a due date of May 1st. Further information about the Elysium Farm Fund for U.S. Breeder Excellence is available at The Dressage Foundation website: http://www.dressagefoundation.org/grants-and-programs/apply/dressage_breeders/elysium-farm-fund.html
