In 2021 I moved to eastern Washington state. It was time for me to live closer to family. I found a house in the middle of the woods. I also found the Relational Riding Academy and began taking lessons with Michelle Zolezzi. I love all the kids and adults at RRA. They have become my barn family.

Riding Scarlet is pure joy. Together we float, we dance, we soar, and I’m thrilled. She is one of the school horses and has been teaching students to ride for six years. She has done many clinics and shows and has taken four youth riders to the WDAA World Championship Show.  She has won so many buckles, ribbons, and trophies; that we’ve actually lost count. Now, Scarlet just completed her USDF bronze metal. She has many diamonds in her “crown.”

When Michelle said that Scarlet was 22 years old, I thought we could do a Western Dressage Century Club ride. I entered the Heart Western Dressage Series show.  Mackenzie and Carilynn were also showing Scarlet on Saturday and Sunday. We all did great on Saturday.  Because Scarlet is 22, she was tired at the end of Saturday. These wonderful, thoughtful, caring girls chose to ride different horses in the show so that Scarlet and I could do our best ride on Sunday for our Century Club ride.  And we shone with a 74.000%.  I'm so happy to have added another diamond to Scarlet’s crown.
