My passion for horses began in childhood when my mother took me trail riding at a local stable. From that moment, I dreamed of one day having a horse of my own. That dream became a reality after I spent a year taking English riding lessons and eventually purchased Aspen, my Quarter Horse. Aspen was an accomplished hunter/jumper, and together we competed in many local shows before retiring from the sport.
I have always been drawn to dressage for its elegance, harmony, and the unique partnership it fosters between horse and rider. After several years away from competition, I found great joy in pursuing dressage. Under the guidance of my trainer, Emilee Anderson, I have continued to develop my skills and deepen my appreciation for the art of dressage.
I am honored to share my journey with the talented horse, True Texas Colors ("Blue"). Achieving a Century Club ride represents much more than reaching a milestone; it is a celebration of the fulfillment of childhood dreams and the belief that it is never too late to pursue a passion.
Participating in the Century Club ride has been especially meaningful to me. It represents not only the achievement of a personal goal reached through dedication and perseverance, but also the fulfillment of a lifelong love of horses. I feel fortunate to have been able to continue riding, learning, and developing my skills over the years. I am grateful to every horse, instructor, family member and friend who has been part of this journey, and I look forward to continuing to learn, grow and cherish the special bond that horses bring to our lives.
