Hello everyone!
My name is Gail. Last October, I joined the Pair of Aces Stables family. I would like to introduce Happy to you first. Happy agreed to be my partner today for our Century Club ride.
He was one of the top large pony hunters in the U.S. for over a decade. He has an extensive USEF record that spans 15 states over 13 years, starting in 2003. Notable shows he attended include Devon, Pony Finals, Washington International, and Capital Challenge, to name a few. Happy joined the Pair of Aces Stables family in 2020 as a lesson pony, and he has been teaching kids to ride and show ever since.
For myself, growing up, my dad's job took us to many countries in the world. The one constant was the barn. It did not matter about the color of my skin, nor if I could speak the local language; the horses did not care. My trainers and new riding buddies always welcomed me into the fold.
My first lessons at age six were bareback and learning how to fall. As my skill levels improved, we attended stadium jumping, and when I returned stateside hunter paces through woods and fields in Connecticut and New York. Finally, I became a student of the art of dressage.
The intuitive nature of horses, their acceptance, and forgiving nature have given me a wonderful education, and I have been blessed with trainers who challenge our patience.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff, my fellow riders, trainers, judges, and horses who have supported me on my journey. And thank you to all the barn buddies over the years for your love and support.
