Kathy’s relationship with Reeds Prince Goer, aka Chief, began with him as a yearling. He was ready to show off those one-of-a-kind Appaloosa spots. She knew from the start that Chief was a special horse. She gained that affirmation the day he led her to help a severely injured horse. We feel the intuition of each other, the true horse and rider bond. Chief is also the first horse she trained under saddle.
He has been ridden and excelled at: western pleasure, hunter/jumper, three-day eventing, dressage, various clinics and activities like flag bearing. Their favorite, with over 1,000 saddle miles, is trail riding. He loves high tailing it up the challenging trails most! He has been herd leader, counselor after losing my daughter, and for many others who have come to lean on Chief’s wisdom. He is our wise teacher, and my heart horse. At age 67, and Chief 33, we are humbled and honored to be a part of this wonderful club!
