After riding and taking lessons in my 20s, I could not ride for five decades. I really missed being around such beautiful animals. About three years ago, I found Stephanie McGlothlin of Unbridled Spirit, a terrific riding instructor and horse trainer. It’s been a wonderful time.
After many lessons, I graduated to riding Jewel, a real jewel of a Tennessee Walker. Jewel, a beautiful palomino, was my first experience riding a gaited horse. Together, that sweet girl and I became a team and prepared for our Century Club ride. Qualifying for the Century Club was a goal I have aspired to for a number of years. It was a thrill to team up with Jewel to achieve this.
