I was always horse crazy, but my family couldn't afford a pony. My sister and I saved our allowances and went trail riding at rental stables. I bought my first horse when I finished college. I became interested in eventing and made it to Training Level.
I've had a lot of help along the way, and I would like to thank some of my past instructors: Meg McTiver, Amie Paramore, Holly Jedlika, Molly Xanthopoulos, Alicia Hunter, and Claudia Hutchison. I owe thanks to my long-time farrier of over 30 years, Thad Ray, for all of his help and wisdom. I want to thank my long-time veterinarian Dr. Kate Pouch for saving Sonny's life and helping to keep him sound. Thanks to the owners of Simpson Run Farm Dave and Patty Morris for taking such great care of my horses for over 20 years.
I want to thank my barn friends and high school buddies (Kim Brelsford-the breeder of Sonny) for coming to our big day and cheering us on. I want to thank my husband Mike for his continuing support and patience. Most of all I want to thank my wonderful horse Sonny who made this all possible. Thank you one and all.
