Pamela Goodrich and Zoomie (NH)

Team #908: Pamela Goodrich and Zoomie
From: Boscawen, New Hampshire
Ages: 72 & 29
Combined Ages: 101
Test: Third Level Test 3

USDF silver and gold medalist, Pamela Goodrich, has received numerous Regional and National awards on over 20 horses she has trained to Grand Prix, and taught innumerable students at all USDF and FEI levels.

Each of the Grand Prix horses she trained had memorable careers. In the 1980s Touch Stone earned the title of the USDF Grand Prix Freestyle Champion, Adriano traveled to the Hamburg Derby in Germany, and Midas Touch competed in the World Equestrian Games in Toronto. In the 2000s, Melville represented the United States in Canada, and Donnerhit won the Grand Prix at the Wellington Classic. Of all these spectacular equine partners, Pam is especially proud of Lamborghini, or as he is more affectionately known, Zoomie.

Pam bought Zoomie in 2001 from the breeder. A small, very spicy, Danish Warmblood, he was always forward and loved to perform. Of the many Grand Prix horses trained, he achieved the most accolades. Zoomie has performed 171 Grand Prix Level tests and countless Freestyle exhibitions. He has traveled to Young Riders and Brentina Cup, and taken four riders to Grand Prix, three of whom earned their USDF gold medals.

Zoomie felt more inclined to bring others through the levels than retire and went on to take another rider to Intermediate 2 and earn others their USDF bronze medals.

Thank you, Jocelyn Beiswenger, Zoomie’s owner, and Kristin Coty, who leases him and competes with him now, for allowing me to take such a wonderful horse down the centerline for my Century Club ride.
