I have been riding for 71 years; becoming involved with dressage in the last 30 years. It has been a great experience, and I appreciate all the help I received from my coach and mentor, Harry Zimmerman. Three years ago, I decided I wanted to join the Century Club. My horse was (is) too unsound to show anymore but Glory came to me when his owner had to move to a home. He has a long history in the dressage show ring, so it seemed to be a possibility to accomplish a Century Club ride. Despite a Cushing's diagnosis and laminitis for him and joint replacements for me, we did get to the ride. Judge Quarles told us to have fun and we did — Glory in particular. Thank you to The Dressage Foundation for giving me this opportunity.
