Patti Swan and her horse Mistral received The Dressage Foundation’s honors for completing their Century Club ride on November 7.
A Century Club ride is when the age of the rider and the horse combined is equal to 100 or more. Horse and rider complete a dressage test in front of a judge, and the test copy, along with pictures and age verification are sent to TDF for approval and issuance of the award.
Patti (69) and her longtime partner, Mistral (31), performed their test for USEF/USDF “S” judge, Charlotte Trentelman of Florida.
“It was so special to have my friend and mentor judge our ride!” Patti remarks.
Of her longtime partner Mistral, she says, “He is my heart horse, my teacher, and my friend. Mistral took me to my USDF bronze medal, my USDF “L” program graduate, and to a full circle with our Century Club ride. I owe him everything!”
