About DaSilva
Born on March 4, 2003, DaSilva is a seasoned dressage horse with an impressive career. Robin and Jim Cathey purchased him from Hof Kasselmann in Germany in December 2012, bringing him to the U.S. as a special Christmas gift. DaSilva helped Robin achieve her USDF bronze medal and has spent time training in California and Florida under Mette Rosencrantz. Known as a premier schoolmaster, DaSilva is beloved by his handlers and enjoys snuggles and cookies. Currently, Vicky Coelho rides DaSilva, and their partnership is captivating audiences.
About Vicky
On her 10th birthday in 1954, Vicky started riding school horses with instructor Jimmy Rainwater in Seattle. Over the following decade, she showed her own horses and others throughout the Northwest and Canada. Later, living in Blaine County, she taught riding with Katy Breckenridge at the Sun Valley Stables. From 1975 to 2001, teaching junior high, high school, and college classes and raising her children left no time for horses. However, after retiring in 2002, she bought two Thoroughbreds and started lessons with Chantal Hardy. Vicky’s purchase of Pogo, an FEI Swedish Warmblood, introduced her to dressage. Instructor, Kristen Aggers, taught her fundamentals over the past 18 years. Other important instructors were Cathy Peterson and Adrienne Baisch.
