The Dressage Foundation’s Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund Future Star Award Presented to Kehan Cox

The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is pleased to announce that the “Lynn Palm Future Star Award” has been awarded to Kehan Cox of Berthould, CO. The $2,000 Future Star Award was given to the highest-scoring junior at the 2022 Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) World Championship Show. Kehan showed Equinox Courage Under Fire to a 75.192 percent score in Basic Test 4 as a junior rider.

Kehan and “Fire,” a Morgan Horse, have been partners since Kehan was five years old. At the WDAA World Championship Show, Kehan and Fire earned four world championships.

Kehan said, “The Future Star Award will help us develop our skills further for the future and help us reach the higher levels of dressage. This award and winning the high point make all the hard work worth it! It also makes me hungry to keep getting better and working more with my horses. I want to be a good example to my two little brothers about how important practice is, and how much it can help you accomplish.”

Lynn Palm said, “I always look to the future of our sport. The young riders are continuing to impress with their hard work and dedication. My hope is that each winner of the Future Star Award continues to represent Western dressage in a way that spreads the message of sound training and harmonious partnerships with exemplary sportsmanship.”

The $2,000 Lynn Palm Future Star Award enables promising youth riders to continue their Western dressage training and education and will be awarded annually at the WDAA World Championship Show.
