The Dressage Foundation is pleased to award a $1,000 grant from its Trip Harting Fund for Pony Club Members and Graduates to Sarah Buchanan (OR).
Sarah is a longtime member of the United States Pony Club and currently holds her USPC B rating. A dedicated volunteer at local clinics and shows, Sarah is also a budding professional who is committed to continuing her education. She will use the grant funding to participate in a series of clinics that will help her strengthen her partnership with her young horse, develop him with a solid dressage foundation, and progress up the levels together.

Sarah said, “I am deeply honored to be selected as a recipient of The Dressage Foundation’s Trip Harting Fund Grant. This grant represents a meaningful investment in my continued education and development as a rider, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity it provides. As someone whose foundation in horsemanship was shaped through Pony Club, receiving an award connected to Trip Harting’s legacy is especially significant. I sincerely appreciate TDF’s commitment to supporting lifelong learning and excellence within the sport, and I look forward to applying this opportunity to further my growth both in and out of the arena."
Trip Harting’s friends and colleagues established this Fund at The Dressage Foundation when he passed away in August 2008. The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial assistance for a Pony Club rider to attend an educational event of his or her choice. Applicants must be current or graduate Pony Club members. Applications are due March 25th of each year.
