The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is pleased to announce that Amanda Mowry (PA) has received a $2,000 grant from its Maryal and Charlie Barnett Continuing Education for Instructors Fund. The grant will support Amanda’s participation in the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) Instructor/Trainer Development Program, hosted by the Northern Ohio Dressage Association.
Amanda is a USDF bronze medalist and the Vice President of one of USDF’s newest GMOs, the Velvet Court Society of Region 1. She began her riding career as an eventer, taking her self-trained horse to the 2015 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. Since then, she has continued her education in dressage, with her next goal being to complete the USDF L Education Program.

Amanda said, “I am honored to receive a Maryal and Charlie Barnett Continuing Education Fund Grant, which will be used toward my participation in the Instructor/Trainer Development Program this fall. The grants that TDF donors make available allow professionals like me to invest in education for ourselves and the future of the sport. Thank you!”
Interested instructors can apply for a grant to attend any portion of USDF’s Instructor/Trainer Development Program, including the seminars, assessment, and certification exam. Barnett Fund grants are awarded twice per year, and the next deadline for applications is February 1, 2027.
