The Dressage Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2025 Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund Grant for Region 9 Adult Amateurs as Dawn Petraitis (MS). The purpose of the Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund is to provide grants to adult amateur riders who currently reside in USDF Region 9, to aid in their development in dressage and/or eventing.
Dawn is a member of the Southern Eventing and Dressage Association. Her current horse is a 13-year-old Trakehner, and together they just made their Prix St. Georges debut. Dawn has recently ventured into the eventing world, which the committee felt Evie Tumlin would have supported, because she was also an active eventing rider. Dawn plans to attend two clinics with the grant and use any additional funding to train with her current trainer, Cameron Dauterive.

Dawn said, “I am excited and grateful to receive a grant from TDF's Evie Tumlin Fund. This grant will allow me to supplement my normal training by attending clinics with John Mason and Irish Olympian Abi Lyle. We will be working on solidifying the Prix St. Georges work this year. Thank you to TDF and the Evie Tumlin Fund for providing this opportunity to Region 9 Adult Amateurs!”
Donations to support Region 9 Adult Amateurs through the Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund are welcome. Information and online giving are available at www.dressagefoundation.org.
