The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is pleased to announce Teresa Cusker (MT) as the recipient of the $5,000 Team Tate Mentorship and Leadership Fund Grant. The Fund, established by the Tate family in 2020, provides financial assistance to dressage professionals to further their business, leadership, and riding skills.

Teresa Cusker (MT) is a USDF bronze and silver medalist with distinction and owner of boutique training business, Arete Equestrian. Her goals include earning her USDF gold medal, competing in West Coast CDIs, developing quality horses, and supporting her clientele of dedicated amateur and youth riders. She aims to emphasize excellence and horsemanship within her program while continuing her professional and business development. The grant funding will support training in Florida with Dawn White O’Connor, as well as accounting classes through Prospera Network in Bozeman, MT.
Teresa said, “Receiving TDF’s Team Tate Fund grant is an incredible honor and a meaningful investment in my journey as a dressage professional in Montana. Living and working in a rural state can make access to education, training, and high-level opportunities more challenging, so this support means far more than simply helping with the financial side of the sport. It gives me the opportunity to continue learning, developing my horses and students, and to bring that knowledge back to our local dressage community. I’m incredibly grateful to The Dressage Foundation and the Team Tate Fund for believing in my goals and supporting the growth of dressage in Montana.”
TDF’s Team Tate Mentorship and Leadership Fund provides $5,000 grants to dressage professionals, age 25 and over, to receive business, leadership, or personal coaching education, and to work with their dressage mentors to improve equestrian skills. The online application form can be found at www.dressagefoundation.org. Applications are due on or before July 15th.
