Eleanor Millerschin Receives TDF's 2023 Amanda Johnson Freestyle Fund Grant

The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is pleased to announce Eleanor Millerschin as the 2023 recipient of the Amanda Johnson Freestyle Fund grant.  This Fund provides an annual grant of up to $2,000 to a young professional from USDF Region 2 or 4 to pay for creating a professionally prepared musical freestyle for competition.

Eleanor has been a professional since 2015 and has a variety of clients including adult amateurs and juniors. Last year, Eleanor completed her personal goal of earning her USDF silver medal. Eleanor plans to create two freestyles with Collier Wimmer of Three Wishes Freestyle.

Eleanor said, “I am so excited to have been chosen as the recipient of the Amanda Johnson Freestyle Fund grant. I cannot wait to get started developing my first FEI freestyle with Collier Wimmer of Three Wishes Freestyles. I have been dreaming about freestyle competition since before I began riding dressage. I am so grateful to finally be working to compete on one of my own. Thank you again to the generous donors at TDF.”

This Fund was established by Amanda’s family and friends in memory of her dedication to the sport of dressage.  Amanda passed away in 2018 at the age of 37 after a three-year struggle with triple negative breast cancer.  Her family and friends remember her as kind, generous, humble, talented, and brave. She was a well-respected member of the dressage community as a trainer, coach, competitor, and clinician.  Amanda was a lifelong student of dressage and especially enjoyed showing in the musical freestyle classes.
